Looking to be a Live-In Caregiver?
A Live-In Caregiver in Canada is a foreign national authorized to live and work in the country temporarily to provide care for children, elderly persons, or persons with disabilities.
You’ll need to apply for a caregiver visa if you want to work as a live-in caregiver in Canada. The process can be complicated and requires applicants to have at least six months of full-time work experience as a Live-In Caregiver and meet certain other eligibility requirements, but we’re here to help. Here’s what you’ll need to do:
-Get a job offer from a Canadian employer. The employer will need to provide you with a contract that outlines your duties and responsibilities. Once you have the job offer, you can apply for a work permit.
-You’ll need to get a medical exam and police clearance certificate. These are required for all immigrants coming to Canada.
-You’ll need to apply for permanent residence. Once your application is approved, you’ll be issued a caregiver visa and can begin working in Canada.
